For our heroes on the frontlines

We are committed to making sure your family needs are being met. Our goal is to ease some of your burden by helping take care of your family, pets, and essential errands, free of charge. The city of Chicago has done a great job of providing childcare options for essential workers. We recognize that you may need to be in the hospital at all hours of the day/night, and we’re here to fill in any childcare and pet care gaps, along with providing services to ensure you have your errands completed. 

We provide assistance to ALL healthcare/ essential workers including, but not limited to: doctors, residents, nurses, hospital employees, RT, phlebotomists, CNA’s, MA’s, PT, hospital custodians, patient transport, etc.

  • Childcare: childcare and assistance for children ages 0-13

  • Petsitting: in your home or for a nice walk

  • Household errands: grocery shopping, meal prep, light house work, or anything else that may help your day run a little smoother

Watch for email.

You will receive an email letting you know when we find a volunteer to help you! The email will include contact information for your volunteer. Reminder: we tell you what the volunteer tells us. We aren’t able to verify the student’s details or conduct a background check. You can see our application process under FAQ’s!

Once you’re connected to your volunteer, you can coordinate details with them. Lots of families chat on the phone or have an in-person meeting to make sure everyone is comfortable with the match. If you need more volunteer help or have other questions, reach out to .

COVID Conscious

To minimize risk of coronavirus spread, each volunteer only helps one family at a time. If we are able, we will connect you with 1-3 volunteer students nearby. If at any point you experience symptoms of COVID-19 (fever, shortness of breath, etc.) or if you contract COVID-19, please let your volunteers know and send us an email at: .
